Coaster brake hub, Murray used them.

The Sachs Komet hubs were pretty common and started to show up on some American made bikes sometime in the mid to late 1950's.

And, they're pretty danged rad. I like'm a lot.

Some were Schwinn-approved, and had Schwinn on the brake-am instead of F&S/Komet Super, etc...
