at home and fighting a cold today. Bored, so I turned the heat on in the garage. Took down my older tanker/Kruiser Guaranty bike, which just didnt do it for me.

so, I had a set of MTB wheels, a ton of deraillers and shifters and brakes. Here is the final design. It rides well, 12 speed. All new brake pads, and new tires.

That leaves me with the red tires and wheels, so I can buy a frame tomorrow, and have a build to do. Gotta sell the repop springer tomorrow.
 
I like it. Looks rugged and unique. Should attract plenty of attention on the trails.
 
I like that he used period appropriate parts, like an axle mounted derailleur and side pull brakes. The diamond plate faux tank makes it unique. The BMX fork is quasi-period appropriate, IMHO.
