This one I have to keep my eyes on.

Love the door idea, then the paint and graphics on them.

So when it all comes together going to be a definite one of a kind.
Although with the crazy creative people here there is no guarantee that a differing version doesn't appear from the ideaosphere.
Hey thanks, guess I'll take it as a compliment if the idea gets reused. But for purposes of this build I posted the my idea back on day one. Still have an idea for making the left one operable, time is running out though.

Re: Kustom Coaster III (Door Panel Graphics)

Well I decided to stay symmetrical. Finished the right side panel this am.

Need to remove a storm door and paint frame for the replacement. Then the final assembly can take place.

Re: Kustom Coaster III (Door Panel Graphics)

Thanks Kingfish, Kroozerdave and Jake. Did some assembly today. Had a few glitches arise. Had to take the crank out to get the right side panel in place and had to remove the blocking. Then the console spacer wanted to hang up on the door handle screw. Then I had to nudge the left side in place with a rawhide hammer and block of wood, paint on everything had reduced mockup clearances.

The shifter cable is coiled in the door void, didn't want to shorten the cable.

Anyway it is mostly together and rideable. Now the tire tread is dirty.

Re: Kustom Coaster III (Door Panel Graphics)

Did a test ride. S/A 3 speed hub shifted fine. The cockpit is stretched out, has a motorcycle feel. Took a few more overall shots. Noticed I left out a seat tube spacer block at door panel void, will need to open up left side. Need to add taillight and a couple other items.

Need to find a backdrop for finished build photos and take some detail shots.

Re: Kustom Coaster III (Down Assembly Line)

Always the way just after you lock the door you realise there is something else to go inside.

Serious points for getting them both on and working.

Love the other details that lead out after you get over seeing the doors too.

Hey, that's really nice looking!
Thanks for the comments gents.
Got a decal for the chain guard today and a couple of "RRBBO8T" also. Tried to get a font similar to the original GT Kustom Kruiser label.

Lots of innovative style going on[/quote

Thank you fellow ratters.
Scouted out some photo locations on Sunday. Decided to go shoot some final photos today. Have a few tweaks left to do but they won't affect the overall look of bike. The weather forecast said 0% chance of rain today. So around 7:30 am I head out. Get a few miles from the house and It starts sprinkling. I keep going to my destination which is dry overcast and intermittently sunny. I take a bunch of photos, load up to leave and the rain starts. Needless to say Kustom Coaster III got wet! Oh well, patina is good. A sampling...

Went on to my LBS which sourced most of the new parts for this bike ( who has yet to post his anything goes bike, it looks great (It is now posted)).
It rained on us all the way home, but cleaned up OK.
