Todays find. I had training in Dayton today. When I got out of class I stopped by a shop I used to frequent and found this Schwinn hanging tank ladies bike. Just had to bring it home. Not sure of the exact year but I would guess late 30's.......

Randy, The tank is held onto the frame by straps on the top tube. If you look closely at the picture you can see one of the straps over the white scallop on the top tube.

Every time I find one I think "you can't possibly find another" LOL ,they just keep popping up. My scrap guy at work has 8-10 houses and barns full of stuff his dad collected before he passed away. He has bikes every where and lets me look from time to time. Last spring we pulled 27 bikes from one building...all 40's, 50's and a few early 60's stuff. He gets mad if I bug him.....so on his terms he just lets me know he's ready to look again. Just told me several days ago we needed to look for a few more :mrgreen:
It also helps that I have 4 friends within 10 miles that all have collected bicycles for many years and let a few go from time to time. Also have a good friend and neighbor that is an antique dealer for a living. I sell odd junk for him on Criags list and he turns me on to bikes he finds.
