I picked up this old Hawthorne and a working 12V Big Beam flashlight recently. I'm not sure what I am planning to do with either yet.]

I did a bit of messing around with the Hawthorne this weekend and decided to keep it intact as a preserved patina rat. I repacked the bearings, recovered the seat, replaced the broken stem, sanded her down and sprayed with clear. Now I think I'll find her a new home.

Re: Lady's Hawthorne and a Big Beam Light

Thanks Guys,
The Big Beams were Chicago built and the guy that I got it from saved it from a scrap pile 20 years ago when his parents were cleaning out their cottage.
I like the originality. but will probably extend the cord so that I can fork mount the light. I'll mount the battery box on a rear rack or frame.
As a 200 lb guy, I don't think that the battery weight will make much of a weight difference.
