What? bored during the holidays...build something. Ok so it's taken me a year to get the frame almost done and I finished the for

ks and the bit that attach the rear wheel

bit of progress, a new seat from Brooks ( God save the Queen), and replica Monark forks ( God bless America). We will need to modify things a bit, yes the frame is too close to the ground. I have been using the seat on my other bike for a couple of days and it's not comfortable. Both the forks and seat originals, so I'm lead to believe, were designed in 1938.

so...Monark forks, made for disc brakes, forks 90mm disc brake wheels 100mm, forks don't bend, so spent $$ and got made stuff to fix that and rake problems,

but couldn't live with the results. will go back a step or two. I needed to modify this frame a lot to fit disc brake wheels, so I will build another frame for them and continue with the original plan for this.

heck yeah, painting cleaning, breaking the chain brake, just look at that front sprocket, took it apart cleaned it repainted the bolts. Now I know what Foose Ring etc go through getting their stuff to SEMA....next steps, modify the handlebars and install everything else that makes it work, oh yeah clean the tyres (what would Foose do).

spent some time installing cables for the brake and gears, and put them in the frame as it looked better. Had to change the frame for the derailer gears so the chain missed the frame.

here you can see I stretched the bars with another set of the same bars, which makes them longer and narrower, but don't know if I'll keep them, we'll see

I'm waiting on a 3m gear cable. And it's a nice 43C ( 109F ) here in the South Pacific so now I'm going to be doing something else till the cable is here, like not sweating like I'm in a sauna ( I keep the doors closed when working in the shed).
