Here is where my current bike project stands, it's a late 30's cwc made Roadmaster. I have spent the last week sanding and priming it, I finally layed the flat black on it this past Thursday and today I took this quick snap of my mock up.

I still need to spray my forks and order my seat, I am going with a Brooks B66 in vintage brown. Until then though, I need to decide what bars and wheels/tires I am going with. I have a pair of brick clay colored tires and the white ones pictured, along with a set of black rims and some chrome HD 12 gauge spokes. I can't decide what I want to go with, I am leaning to the black wheels more than the chrome. I just need to figure the tires out.

What tire/wheel combo do you guys recommend? Some input would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I'm going to sell the wheels that I don't use incase you guys might be interested, they are both new and have not been ridden.

Ive got an all black with the red tires and pedals. it does look good.

On a side note. my dad experimented with staining his tires. maybe an option

Wow, thanks a lot for the feedback guys. I was not a big fan of how thin the black rims looked with either set of tires. They were too skinny after seeing the HD wheels mounted, the HD wheels are a over 2'' thick while the black wheels are 1.75. So I'm sticking with the chrome wheels. The black wheels will be on sale here shortly, would anyone be interested? they have never been ridden.

sure would be cool if you had the tank
Man don't even remind me. It had the tank when I bought it, along with original tires tries rods and front fender. I work in my moms garage bcause my 1 bedroom apartment is too small. My mom threw that stuff away.

These small details are holding things up! I can't find bars that I like. I want some low rise bars, but that are as wide as the half moon bars. I'm still waiting for my saddle, once it comes in I might be able to narrow down what bars I might get.

This build is being derailled by small stuff!! Haha, my seat arrived today and it was not the right one, I ordered a Brooks B66 but I recieved a B135 instead, I like it but It is not the color i wanted. I'll decide whether or not to keep it by tomorrow. Also, the more I have looked at the Bike, the more I have realized that I want to go with black rims and clay tires, I'll have the other set just incase I want to change things up.

I finally got my Saddle in the mail today! I absolutely love it. Even though I do not have all my parts yet I decided to slap some spare parts on and go for a cruise around my hood. She rides great! My black wheel are in the shop so i through on my HD wheel set with the white tires, I have not decided what bars i am using yet so I through on some old schwinn bars and coke bottle grips I had laying around. I heard all the problems that people had with brooks saddles but let me tell you, this thing is amazing right out of its packaging. Anyways here are some pics.
