Hey everyone, this has been on the back burner for a while now, but I finally figured out a way to move forward with Leg Day. I didn't make the deadline for the buildoff, so it's a regular build now.
What I started with:

Then I cut some aluminum diamond plate for:

At this point I was stuck. I had to get the ginormous chainring to clear, and the original idea was to weld in a new bottom bracket. However, the thought occurred to me, why not replace the chainstays with a fork? That seemed like an easier task. Armed with a sawzall and a pile of forks to choose from, I got to work and mocked this up:

It's not welded yet, so I can build around it and adjust until I have what I want. That's all for now, stay tuned.

Great idea. Now I understand Leg Day - workout for sure.

I like the 26" better as well.
The frame came out well. You can cleanup those welds with a little angle grinder work.

I think the 20" looks pretty cool. It gets you a little lower and make its look a little more purpose built.

It's also weird I say that because I've never been keen on 20" wheels on bigger frames and forks.

Oh man, I put the wheel on and slid it all the way into the dropouts. It's aligned perfectly!
