It is! I am still kind of reluctant to use inline images because a lot of people still have slow connections. With the slack geometry it is a very nice bike to ride and is my alternate commuter. A bonus feature of the 1930s-10940s Sturmey Archer AW hubs is they use a threaded cog on the driver so I was able to put on a 22 tooth track cog for better(lower)gearing. Hills and headwinds abound. Originally the bike was set up like this:

About the same price as a well optioned ballooner, but a heck of a lot faster!

This is mine, Pashley Guvnor by type with Pashley Clubman frame colour, singlespeed hub brakes and vintage Brown saddle. Converted old mountain bike, done a few years ago, so some rust.

I REALLY like the slack frame geometry on German bikes. I wish I ran into more of them. Your Goricke looks great!

Would a Schwinn Collegiate be a good choice for one of these builds? I love it! The Guv'nor is the look I want next!

Also is a 26 x 1 3/8 appropriate or is 700c?

It was just right for commuting to work, but a neighbor had to have it, and I had 14 other bikes, so away it went.
