i would get some good tubing and have at it. the steer looks like a stock springer and the main legs go up and capture the spring with the leading legs welding into the main ones. looks easy enough the spendy part would be getting it chromed

is john brain on this forum cause maybe he can give me some idea's on how he did it..... he has some way cool chops

LocoJoe also gave you the best possible way to get ahold of John. He is a major part of BR&K. I don't rmember if he has a "contact" button on there, but he might. He also might be able to be reached thru the Chopaderos web forum (http://www.chopaderos.com/forum). He's a Chopaderos member and does occassionally post on their board. He also shows up at a few of the FreakBike rides/events in Canada and Michigan, but I haven't seen him since Autorama. John is a great guy who's always willing to give the answers to the questions that are asked. If you do get in touch with him, you'll be amazed at his knowledge of the Kustom bike scene.
Good luck,
Chainy

Heres the one on the bike my son and I did for the kids bike build off; http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6132 Started with a schwinn springer and stretched it. 1 further note though, you will want a stiffer spring due to the increased leverage from the long forks.

THAT was every kids Dream Bike back in the day!

I'd STILL like to have one like that 40 years later...
