Hey guys, thought I'd swing in again. Picked up three bikes...all of which need some work.

The first is a Western Flyer ballooner. The problem is that the expansion wedge is rusted into the stem. The bolt broke, so I tried twisting the handlebars. Didn't work. Cut off the stem (it was a cheap-o stamped Wald deal), then tried to use a punch to get it out. Started with a round one - just sunk in. Tried a wedge, got that one stuck. So, should I cut off the steer tube and replace it with an old MTB fork that I've got lying around? At this point, I'm out of other ideas.

The second is a Major that seems pretty low-end. It's got a poorly fitting stamped tank with a bolt going right through the middle of it. Everything else seems pretty common - has anyone heard of this brand?

The last is a Huffy womens' bike from (I'm guessing) the late 50s.

I'll have to post pics of all three, but the biggest concern is the stuck stem...

Soak them with Automatic Trans Fluid or PB Blaster for about a week.

Then POUND them like you hate them out with a BFH.
