It was a bike owned by one of the Cyclone Coasters club in Long Beach I think.

Yup, that's definitely the one.
I don't know if he actually sold it, but these pics were taken in Newport Beach, so it's still local (in SoCal), one way or the other!

I saw that bike in person just a couple of months ago at the shop where the Coaster's have their semi-annual swap meet in Newport. It is a cool looking bike. No doubt it does need some room to make a turn. :mrgreen:

I made a vintage-looking motorized bicycle with long Shelby-style handlebars like that. (-I made the bars out of stock tubing, didn't use real ones-)

They're fine if you're going at least, oh, 15 or so MPH. Below that speed, keeping the bike upright is very.... -challenging.

My next build will not be using such long bars.
