I have a couple of bikes with banged up fenders. Does anyone have any tips for fixing them or cutting off the damaged parts?

If you take them off you can gently tap the dents out on a block of wood with a ball peen hammer. If you have plastic fenders like my Schwinn Le Tour Tourist I had and there is a damaged section you can trim it back by tracing the outline of the fender further up past the damaged area and cut it off to make a bobed fender.
