?..Seats low for pics on any bike looks cool but if your over six feet riding a standard cruiser with the seat slammed it looks like a giant stole a bike from a little kid. I'm just saying :)
EPIC response....! I have now committed "...it looks like a giant stole a bike from a kid" to memory. Thanks Big Al for making me laugh on a Monday morning.

I'm 6ft tall I do love the look of the seat all they way down.
My Build Off 4 bike

Then I built this.. Blue-X ....Build Off 5 bike
Seat far back and low peddles are in the perfect spot. I ride the snot out of this bike!

The Electra Bicycle Company makes cruisers and townies that all have 'flatfoot technology.' This is the same thing as what the OP did with his bike; putting a steep angle on the seat stay so people have their feet flat on the ground when they stop. This way, the seat can be set lower, and the rider has a lower center of gravity but can still stretch out their legs when they pedal. This design is both safer and much more comfortable than traditional cruisers.
I have noticed that other modern bike companies are copying this design.

skipton, don't you have trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground?

this is just me but every bike i have the seat/bars/anything else stays where it is in pictures and when ridden(all are as low as they will go) and they do all get ridden as is....oh im 6' if that matters
if you cant ride it like it is dont build it that way

Hey Skipton,

Cool Videos
Ahhh, to be at least 20 years younger and be able to fold myself into a pretzel and ride in style
Just teasing, it's great to here you and Sensor ride 'em as you build 'em

Hey Pickle,

Thanks for your opinion/compliment.
We might be in the minority though.
Maybe we can put a new twist on it.
How FAST can you ride with a low seat?? :D

Don't know about 20 years younger.......... 40th Birthday coming this Friday !....... Just a kid at heart

I like the lower seats on cruisers and have done 3 now. The first one is for a bud and the second one is mine. They ride great and are really comfortable. The third one is 1/2 and inch from the fender, its not bad so long you don't have to put any umph into it. Its not mine just did it the way he wanted it done. If I'm going to have a bike its got to be able to be riden.

Hey YouBugMe2,

I like the stance of your bikes
Its cool you're riding as built

Hey Skipton,

Would have never guess 40
Guess that "kid at heart" mentality works
So I stand corrected;
Ahhh to be ~10 years younger...
Happy 40th Birthday!!

MplsCoaster,

I have no issues being 40

But sure wouldn't mind being 10 years younger!
Been riding this one "Bellowing Yellow" with a low seat a lot lately... I think it would look better with the seat even lower

Looks like an awesome day to ride
How are you liking the full fendered ride?
How low can you go?

Hey Pickle
It was a bit tricky to take the pic but fun
Several others didn't work as well
