Brother, I suppose it's about time I put something here. Your online friendship and help, reaching out as soon as I got here, was a big part of why I stayed. I see your skills and vision and it inspires me to keep stretching my skill set too. Building a bike isn't so very hard, but building rolling art with imagination AND function is a thing not so many have found. You have Luke, please keep on pushing the rest of us. Peace brother.

Carl. ;)

Thanks Carl!

Sorry I have been a bit quiet lately, having some internet issues, meaning I am not getting on as much... Hoping it will be fixed soon!

Well said Carl...couldn't agree more...+ he fixes people's typos, keeps the peace, encourages everybody and is always 100% genuine.

Nearly finished setting up my new work area!

I have walls on two sides to block wind and rain, the trailer on another side and a super heavy duty steel work bench in the middle!
I even have lights set up for night time working!

Looking forward to adding the finishing touches and then getting back into building bikes with less hold ups from bad weather!

Looks nice & cozy. You gonna have a fire in there?
Oh yeah! Going to shift in my stainless fire pit after modifying it a little.

@Chad T's comment made me think I should get out there and finish it off, so even though it was 10:30 at night, and in the middle of winter, out I went! The walls stop the wind and it was actually a pretty mild day, so it was good.

Finally welded the fire pit to the base rim, it was only sitting on there before and has nearly fallen over a few times, so it needed doing:

Also welded a 3" strip of steel on the back and the trailer side of the bench to stop things sliding or rolling off and getting lost, then I hung the ROADTRAIN sign we found in outback Queensland back in 2013 while on our driving holiday/building 'BigJim':

Looking pretty good!

I started here with my first post in November 2012, since that time I have slowly worked my way up the list of most posts, not intentionally, but just as a side effect of the amount of commenting and building I did...
Well, with this post I will pass site owner @Rat Rod for second place on the most forum posts list...

No one will ever catch @kingfish254 though!
But I am catching him on total likes! :nerd:

Not quite 3 years on the site now, this is my 15,000th post! Guess I am still averaging around 5,000 a year!

:forum:

Forgot to update this at the 4 year mark!

Well, sitting on a little over 19,000 posts, only did 4,000 this year, I burnt myself out a bit building 'OutLaw' for the big build-off last year and also had some other issues that came up, so i guess that explains the drop off in posts.

Still, a couple of new builds on the list, plus a lighting how-to!

Will be trying to finish a couple of old builds in the first months of 2017, OutLaw and Back40...

This is super cool. Especially for being for a big guy, I dig this chopper! Looks like he does too!
He does! I might have to build another one soon, that design has come back to favor for me again!

Fabricated a new bending die and tube jig today...

For a project that I will be working on in secret while finishing off 'Back40' and 'Outlaw'...

BIG NEWS COMING SOON!

OK, here it is!

There is an idea that has been floating in my head for a while, and started to really take shape during the latest MBBO, that is building a limited production LTJ frame...

So I have been planning, designing and building tube bending jigs lately.
The next step is to build a assembly and welding jig and to order some specialised parts from the local laser cutter, which of course takes money, so I bit the bullet and sold "FlipTheScript' :( but at least now I can move forward and get a couple of prototypes completed and start testing! :)

Stay tuned!
