My efforts to avoid looking at Craigslist lately are not going well.

All original 82 Western Flyer Invader 24" BMX cruiser. The only thing missing is the front reflector. Seller said it was a garage sale find.

Chrome CMC wheels with a Suntour rear coaster brake. The thing that attracted me to it was the color, condition, completeness and the price...$40. :)

Where is the fence?

I find it amazing that you keep finding these 30 year old bikes in great condition.

Re: LUNCHTIME 24" BMX CRUISER FIND

The fence is at home.

Funny how a bike which probably seemed so lame in 1982 now seems cool 31 years later.

Re: LUNCHTIME 24" BMX CRUISER FIND

Yes...it should clean up really nice.

The wheels are actually chrome so they will be nice and shiny.

Re: LUNCHTIME 24" BMX CRUISER FIND

I've got a laid back seat post I plan to try out on it...it may help a little.

You need to find another bike tomorrow or you might break your every other day streak.

This would ensure certain death upon arrival at home too.

I'm out of the game for a while now....especially on Valentine's Day.

Re: LUNCHTIME 24" BMX CRUISER FIND

Spent some time tearing this one down and giving it the treatment this weekend.

It's got a few scratches here and there, but for the most part it's a pretty immaculate bike. It had two flat tires and I noticed a thorn in each tire as I spun them around. My guess is that they bought this bike, rode it a handfull of times and ran over the thorns and then parked the bike from then on out. Those two thorns were responsible for keep the bike stored all of these years.

Here's how it looked when I picked it up...

It's a bit on the small side though...19.5 top tube. Almost like having a 20" frame with 24" wheels.

Definitely not a rider.

Send it to me, I'm sure I can fit on it...I'd ride the wheels off that thing

I'll send you a high resolution photo to hang in your living room

OK, it's clean, I'll give you that, but there are some different parts, let me try to spot them.

-layback seatpost
-pedals
-front reflector
-chain
-rear valve cap
-tubes

Did I get them all?
