Lurking for a while...

And decided that now was the time to say hello.
I am in Northern New Jersey and my name is Augie. Growing up, I always had the hand-me-down bikes. Used, broken, beaten (then I continued that tradition), don't even know where they ended up when I was "done", bikes. I rode a girls muscle bike into the ground, never saw it again. Same for a Schwinn Continental, I rode that bike for what seems like a million miles. Had some other Mountain bike that I KILLED.....got into cars and well, after a long time away from bicycles, I found this:

And turned it into this:

Then a year later (which isn't anywhere close to riding yet):

And now (for the wife):

I just have to teach her how to ride.....lol.

Anyway, hello. I'll be in the swap meet section and looking everywhere else.....

I am looking forward to getting both of them done sooner than later (a month or two if funds allow).

That is a great idea with the balance bike, I have a free BMX that would be a perfect donor too........now to get her on board with a training bike with no training wheels (or pedals).
