A little back story
This bike will be auctioned off after the Seattle Build off next week. I found out I get to keep her till the auction closes (sometime around Christmas) so that gives me some time to sport her around. The Seattle build is put on by Renegade Muscle (Skid King) and http://www.theserviceboard.org/ I will be sad to see her go but its for a good cause.
When I started my goal was to see how mechanical I could make this but still be functional. I really dig steampunk and rockabilly so why not mesh them together? I still wanted to stay true to style though so everything is loosely based on some vintage bike or another I saw... The handlebars are late teen Indian factory boardtrack, the rear hoop around the tire from an Elgin Bluebird... This is really the most custom bike I have ever built.. Its only about the forth one I have done any really modifying too.
I hope you like it.
The Madd Hammer....
Shifter Handle
Shift linkage (Proto wrench support)
Seat bracket with Titanium airplane bolt from Boeing Surplus...
Junk Rack
Through bolt axle
Pinstripes and lettering
Note the hand molded rubber grips.
Springer detail
Copper Seat
Not sure how to embed a video so here is a link to video of the rear springer in action and me riding the bike..
