Was so busy over the summer, had surgery in the fall, and now I've got so many bikes piled up.

Last night I got 2 nice Haro BMX bikes but really nowhere to put them.

I've had a call coming in for a mountain bike for a kid and a lady waiting on me for a couple bikes for her grandkids to keep at her house.

So today I actually went outside and got to work on those 3 bikes, but to get to one of them I had to dig into the bike hidey hole. It was to get this nice older Diamond Back MTB, it didn't need much to get ready to go, it should get this kid back and forth to the high school pretty good.

But then I had a PILE of bikes to put back in the hidey hole and I really didn't want to, so I just put a pile in the alley and called the scrap guy and these went away.

(no, that's not some filter, my phone doesn't have a flash, that is the light from my helmet mounted headlamp)

So I feel a lot lighter now, and I can start storing the nice bikes.

Just got a call from the family I'm getting the 2 bikes ready for, he's coming in the morning! OH NOES! I got work to do, one of them is only a frame!

The stem was upgraded to provide more reach on the bars, but it's still a 1" threaded fork like yours. I think that may actually be a 'road' stem.

I thought ControlTech stuff was all MTB. :?

You're probably right. I bought it out of a 'sale' bin in a Bike Nashbar store in Ohio back in 95-96, so my memory is a little fuzzy on it. Still have it, minus the Control Tech logos, I steel wooled them off a while ago (was in a 'no names' mood for a while).

Cheers,
Dr. T
