so the other day i came up on this 61ish hawthorne girls frame cruiser for free and figured i do a build for my wife, nena. problem is, i really like to ride this bike myself, even though once i'm done, it will go to her, and its a girls frame with fenders and a front basket. i still ride this bike and just think of the frame as a "step thru" frame rather than a girls bike. after a few days of riding it, my manhood hasn't fell of, so i think i am safe.

so guys, any of you manly men ride girls' bikes, too? picts.

if yer buddies see ya ridin' a girl bike just tell 'em you just changed/greased the bearings and you're just test riding it before ya let your gal get on it.

i had to do that last weekend

I ride my wife's 1950 Schwinn Hollywood to work everyonce in a while. Very comfy ride.

I dont see any problem with riding a womens bike :)
I have a 1963 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight 4 door that is my summer car and while once it was a "grandpa's car" now its just plain cool!

Yeah,I've ridden my girls bikes...but only late at night so my buds couldnt see me. 8)

I have heartless friends and they'd never let me live it down.

I always thought they got it wrong to begin with . We should have had the bikes without the, hurt something your gonna need bar. As you get less young the girls bike become more suited anyway ,and you dont care. Comfort and ease will take president over what anybody thinks anyway.

I'm old school and I wouldn't ride a girl's bike for love nor money. :p You guys would cringe if you knew how many Betty frames I've sent to HELL over the last 25 yrs. 8)

I heard a story about an Air Force mechanic that had to walk between buidings at a big base. It took too much time so the boss got him a bike...a girl's bike. He refused to ride it but the boss *ordered* him to ride it. He got a roll of duct tape and made a top bar, thereby preserving his manhood. B607

Hello Roadmaster,

Last month I bought a 2008 Girls Schwinn Deluxe 7.
I'm stll not entirely clear why. only that it was a good deal.
I may use the 7 speed hub on a rat otherwise it'll have to wait
for a cute rider to cruise with . Here's a photo of my pair of D-7's.

Cheers.

Sorry, I'm not confident enough to ride a girl's bike... Though I have to say I do find that they sometimes are a shorter vertical distance in comparison to men's bicycles of the same size, which is nice when you're 5 foot 2 inches tall.

Shoot I would..... If it was bright Pink and had swirlers in the spokes and tassles all the better

But if you look like me most people dont give you much flak...

One of my favorite things to do is ride my wife's little honda Ruckus scooter around with all my tattoo's showing and my skull cap.... I get some weird looks...
