Maybe it's the real McCoy, Orange band 2 speed

A friend up in Pennsylvania sent me this photo of a 2 speed hub on a rusty bike at a motorcycle junkyard near his town. He says the guy will give it to him if he'll take some the bike junk along with it. It looks like it has an orange color to the stripes, doesn't it? :!: I may have him get it and mail it to me.

Looking again, maybe it is only a yellow band. I'll keep searching for the elusive orange band, or the even more rare purple band 2 speeds. There were only 2 of them.

Seconded. Bendix red bands fade to a paler red, not a yellow or orange. I've got a faded red band on my Eldorado.
