I can't afford one of those cool bikes, so I had to find something cheap. I scoured the neighborhood and came up with a jr polo-bike, and a 24" Columbia frame that the girls down the street outgrew. They are girls bikes, but they were free.

The polo bike is all there, but it's too small, so I'll swap the parts over to the Columbia frame.

This is what I've managed to come up with this afternoon.

I've been making a little progress on the slow boring job of cleaning, de-rusting and polishing parts. I think they are cleaning up pretty well, considering how rusty everything was. The rims are going to be the worst.

Turns out this color is impossible to photograph. I bent and reused the old top bar, the two canti bars are from a lawnmower hood support. I don't have a tubing bender so it was pretty tough to get decent looking bends.
