Maybe it was too early in the morning for my camera, the quality wasn't quite right, so I took some more pics today.
The pedals scrubbed the ground on some areas of the highway today, 29 Dec, so I used the other configuration on the dropouts and added the necessary things, mirror and horn, for riding in the crazy traffic here.

love this bike HEAPS,reminds me of my friends bike when I was maybe 6-7 years old I am sure it was a Puch Panther (but cant find anything on the web to back this up,maybe not made by Puch)same color but chopper style 5speed deraileur,it stayed in my head cos there wasnt many radical bikes in england at the time,it was all proper traditional

RRB MMBO Class 1

For your consideration is a fully restored 1974 Huffy "The Jackalope". Rather than doing a wild custom I decided to do a straight up restoration on one of the rarest Huffy muscle bikes ever made. These bikes were Huffy's last ditch effort before completely getting out of the muscle bike game, and they threw everything they had in their arsenal at it. These bikes are exceedingly rare and hard to find, so much so that many people don't believe they ever really existed in the first place.

Oh you bet they existed. I had a rare huffy girls muscle bike that used the exact same fork. it was a huffy Charlie's angles banana seat muscle bike. it was a light blue and had that same fork. I sold the fork and the bike just two months ago.

(MBBO #3, Class 1) Hurst Stingray Fastback. Hurst themed 1975 Schwinn Stingray Fastback. Pistol Grip Shifter inspired by Plymouth. I knew the color I wanted. The Hurst theme came about during the build.

This 1969 Vista "The Banana" was a nice straight forward resto. It came out better than i thought it ever would! Thanks to all the members that helped with parts and advise! Mike.

WOW! Looking through the builds that have finished so far, I can't think of a single one that my buddies and I wouldn't have loved to have back in the muscle bike days!!! BRAVO to all on jobs WELL DONE!! Can't wait to see the rest!

When we look at all of the cool Muscle Bikes from all of the MBBO’s, it makes you wonder if we have entered into the Post Muscle Bike Era. There is just something about this genre’s design concept that brings out an unmatched youthful exuberance and custom personal expression that is just not found elsewhere.

It’s also long lasting; I’ve been bitten by this muscle bike bug since getting a Schwinn Sting-Ray for Christmas back in the mid-60’s – it could be said that Love has no Statute of Limitations!

So I feel I have done all I can do with this bike,I started out with a broad plan to build a ratty bike with not much direction but as soon as I put on the bent springer and saw how low it was thats when I got the drag bike idea,I wanted it to be like a retired dragbike "barn find" with patina,but as I was using different/mismatched parts,painting was the only option,now that it is done I feel a "Street outlaw"vibe to it,using the Raliegh chopper frame has been interesting and glad I did use it,it has been cool checking out all the builds and receiving comments/likes from all the builders/members,just entering and completing this comp is a great personal win for me,good luck
