media blasting in Kansas City

i talked w/ a guy at industrial coatings in kc ks yesterday, they are a powdercoater but they do media blasting too, he said he'd do bike frames to. just in case ya need a place, its 913 321 2116. i was referred to them by a local motorcycle shop.

Hey Eddie, Did you get prices on blasting a frame and also how muck to powdercoat? Ken-Coat here in Independence will do a frame and fork for anywhere from $60 to $150 depending on color.

i didnt ask about the powder coat part, i like to paint 'em myself - but im tired of stripping them so i only asked about the media blasting. he said ballpark 25 bucks/frame. my plan is to time things for a long weekend so that i ca take several frames down there, then directly after they're blasted i can take them home and clean/prime them.

Eddie, I talked to Ken at TJL auto at 5620 Raytown Rd. 816-353-0210. Ken told me sand blasting $15-$20 per frame. I've had him do yard furniture blast and paint and he did a good job.
