Memory Lane Classics - good though different

Another good experience from MLC. Ordered tires, spokes and a couple of headlights last week. Had them by Thursday. Went to build the wheels Sat AM and I was 5 nipples short. Called MLC, they said they'd get some out. Today I received 6 and due to the holiday they stepped up using UPS instead of USPS so I wouldn't have to wait as long. A nice note was also inside and they used a padded envelope.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. The only odd thing is you never get a total plus shipping when you order over the phone. However they have never taken advantage of me either. The shipping is always fair and reasonable, the packing is great and a bill of sale is in the box. Spoke prices just can't be beat for straight spokes.

These folks have been taking care of me in one way or another for 19 years now. I never have a complaint with them. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I still havent figured out how their spokes end up costing so little. Last time I ordered them I think it was $8 a wheel (36 spokes). I dont think I could get them any cheaper than double or triple that price anywhere else.
