Middleweight and Balloon Bike Fork Interchange

[1967Typhoon]

I'm new here guys and also new to the rat rod bike world. I have a 1967 Schwinn Typhoon middleweight 26-incher, and I wanted to see if an earlier 26-incher balloon tire bike, springer front end will fit my Typhoon.

Your thoughts and any photos of the interchange are much appreciated.

How much earlier do you mean? Any postwar Schwinn springer will fit your Typhoon. A prewar springer won't fit unless it's off of a '41 girls frame. Gary
