I have been wanting a tryke for a long time. Dont ask me why but i just want one really bad.

Have been searching but cant find anything that isnt 200.00 or more and if its less its gone .

Ran an ad in our shopper paper to buy one and a guy texts me this pic of an old Freespirit sitting under his shed where it has sat for years for 50.00. Told him heck yeah i want it. The old girl has tons of potential. If all goes well we will go get it this wknd. Will post better pics then. I love the looong look of it.

I have never rode a tryke and was wondering how hard they are to pedal. I know they are heavier than a bike but are they geared to compensate for that? We have some hills here but not bad. My muscle bike geared 44/18 isnt bad to ride only one hill you need to get off and push to the top.

We have a Columbia similar to the top pic at work. Not bad on flat ground but watch out going down hill and turning are high speed! Gotta lean into the turn.

They aren't that bad to ride but they do tend to be a little slow, most I have had have been 3 speed so it makes it so much easier. Great for hauling stuff and making beer runs.

I've got an old Desoto trike in my Garage, I just never seem to have the money to get it going, ALWAYS another project taking priority. I will never get rid of it though, it's what I used to deliver newspapers with back in 1985.

I also have a columbia. I remember test riding one and almost hit a parking meter and a telephone pole. I didnt think they were hard to ride. I also almost rode in to traffic-I was wrong. My columbia has aluminum hubs on it, im currently cutting them off.
