I'm trying to make a hi wheel i don't know if it will work but it looks cool,I'm not sure if i should mount the BB in front of the forks or in back of the forks let me know what u think

maybe weld a fork to the rear..
with a 12" or 16" .i think the bb
would probably work best, out front.
cool build idea, looking forward to seeing
the progress results.

I got to agree with Larz, I think you should at least using a 12 1/2" wheel. I'd probably go 16".
One of the guys that I ride with tried an eight inch wheel and didn't like it. He tried a regular 12 1/2" wheel and found it much better. We gave him one of those 12 1/2"scooter wheels, the kind that looks like a mag wheel, and he loves it!

As far as putting the bottom bracket in the front or rear. I think the "behind" version looks better but then it may force you to ride higher or back farther. Jacking the seat up may not be a bad thing but having to move the seat back will probably flip the bike or at least make it very light in the front. I guess it all depends on how low you plan on mounting the bottom bracket.

The bike has a nice look.
Good Luck.

i got the bottom bracket on and road it around the block when i went to jump off the tire twisted one way and the handlebars went the other way,i forgot to tighten the neck up,it was real funny cuz their was a lot of people watching. the bike rides ok,but i am definitely changing the rear wheel it was a bit sketchy at first but when i got going it was smooth sailing but i cant pedal and turn no big deal i will post better pics soon, check out some of my other bikes on facebook rad rocket cycles happy thanksgiving

I built something similar a while back to use as a skid bike, I tried the crank behind the wheels like you did, but I couldnt ride it because the wheel was farther forward. I ended up moving the wheel back so that it was directly under the fork, and placed the cranks forward like you see above. I can now ride it, but its still hairy!

i used this paint ,you can prime it paint it in and touch it in 1.5 hours it comes out good and is pretty tough in 5 days but it only comes in red ,blue and green it is also gas and oil resistant

Hey Dash, The bike looks great!
Just something to keep in check ....
Watch the seat post for fatigue cracks, after you put some miles on it. When you pedal your putting back pressure on the tube and it could crack and dump you on your head. Also watch the tube to the bottom bracket. A brace on either side of both will really be some added insurance while riding. Sorry I didn't notice it before the paint job.

The 20" looks much better and it really gives the bike a "Big Boy" look! Are you gonna run gears?
Thanks!

thanks chainsaw,i would like to put a derailleur up front it is hard to get going,i will give it a try. i also agree with the extra support . thanks for the advice !

Thanks kjv. It realty is some good stuff I have painted a ton of bikes and this is my favorite paint. To date
