Met up with jalopyjimmy13 a few weeks ago to do some trading. Got this Hiawatha from him.
Was told it was a 16", turns out it is a 20". I got lucky member kcjim78 came though with some parts!
Here is what is should look like:
I have the truss rod bracket, going to make my own truss rods. Also going to fiberglass a tank.
Got the parts today and started throwing it together.
The stem was welded to the top nut when I got it, I was able to grind it off but the stem was rusted in. Ended up cutting it off. The dropouts were messed up too. I got a girls fork I plan on using once I shorten it and straighten it. It has a wedge with a bolt stuck in it as well, thats why the bars are so high. Ignore the blue wheel, I'm working on the original.
Its a 1953 Cleveland Welding built Hiawatha. I have a 26" Hiawatha so its going to be a mini version of that.
You can see the original maroon color where the headbadge was. I'm going to put it back to that color
