Went to the Minneapolis Messaround today. I look forward to this all year.
It's a really fun Rat Rod Car and Motorcycle show with really loud rockabilly music
Went to the first one and everyone since and never been dissapointed
Found out my Wife's son, his girlfriend and her little guy (Mag Ray owner) wanted to come too
So got all the bikes in good shape and redid my wife's Spaceliner somewhat
Another nice hot sunny day in Mpls so perfect riding weather
The little guy was wailing on his bike and has got taller and stronger
He kept aiming for the bumps and laughing when he hit them
BTW: He tried Mag Ray last week but did a low speed crash
So he needs a little more growing, probably ready next spring

My wife had her Eliminator, my stepson: wife's Hercules,
Step son's girlfirend: wife's Spaceliner, and I brought Jacked up Pilot
We had a nice ride down but forgot to take a group shot. (action shot didn't turn out )
The Little Guy and me went straight in with our bikes and lost the rest of them
Great cars straight off and we were having a really good time
Got this photo and talked with the owner. He said he built it for his son when he was 17 years old
I said "Nice Dad and Cool bike!!!" He said his son was all grown up now.
He took the same picture because it remind him of the past. 8)
Now I've been riding my RB bikes the last few years, Typhoon, Spaceliner, Wife's Western Flyer...
There has usually been just a mild attraction to them because of all the super cool cars
This year was different and I had at least a dozen people come in for a look and talk with me.
It was really fun! Lots of people said they had old bikes they wanted to fix up and I said get 'em rollin'!
Talked about RatRodBikes.com and the Fall Ride coming up
It was so cool to hear people getting jazzed up about old springers and frame darts
I think Dr. T was right and the rear tire has it's own gravitational pull because more people kept coming up and checking it out, making comments, almost always starting with the back tire.
Lots of good detailed conversation so really fun!!
(unfortunately I was so busy I didn't take pictures and my wife was nowhere in sight  )
So locked it up (in the show this time ) and started taking lots of pics.
So many cool rides!!
The front bike had it all!!
Old Hemi with Zoomies!
An outrageous Corvair Gasser
One of my favorites!
Lots of open headers
Sweet!
Not rat rods but very nice (Did I mention the weather was perfect)
This was something different and uber nostalgic cool
Very Clean
Bare Metal and truck slicks!
Awesome stance and perfect red components
The really wide whitewall slicks were too cool
Just Right, subtle
Perfect suspension drop
Remembered my one pic every year with my wife. This year with a great Willys
This guy (on the right) brought his nitro rail dragster and started it up with some fantastically loud revs
(When I ever get a YouTube account, I'll post it)
People were plugging their ears (but had huge smiles). I didn't and just couldn't stop smiling 8)
People were checking out my bike too
Heard this all girl rockabilly band and bought their CD
Had some good food and then it was time to leave (my bike pile)
Had to take one more shot (look close, a little kid is sitting in the rail 8) )
As I was leaving this older guy (who had been quietly sitting there all day),
looked over and gave me a thumbs up, perfect!
Had a great time!
Hopefully more Rat Rod Bikes will show up next year
Thanks for Looking
Steve
