As I started this buildoff I wasn't sure where it would end up, and formulated the bike buildup ideas along the way. Had a late start and a bit of distractions and challenges along the way.

My wife wanted me to build her a trike so that she can go with us on our Sunday morning rides when she feels like going with.

This photo was taken on the dirt trail going into one of the parks we ride at on Sunday mornings.

I started with an old trike that came out of a thrift atore in northern Utah.

Then I took the frame I used in the MBBO buildoff a couple years ago 'That Blue Bike' and started building.

Took the 24s off. Put a 29x2.5 up front and 26x5s on back, both custom laced to 72 spokes.

The rears also got EL wire wove into the extra 120 holes in each wheel. Front got bike lights.

Used some16 inch apes, with a mirror i created from a mopar sport mirror, Thompson gripa, with a classic muscle bike neck and a 29" bent springer up front.

A drum brake on the rear axle and an 8 speed take it more rideable as well. Blue/brown YBN chain ad a cool sprocket. Wellgo square bear reap pedals.

Custom painted with a clear purple fade over the layers of blue seemed appropriate as well 💙

Added all together makes for a unique combination of a cool custom trike.

This trike is on point! Loving the entire look. I bet those wheels look killer at night.

In the '70s there was a term for cool cars; "that thing is boss" ! I think of that word when I see this muscly, gnarly, raked forked, transformed trike you have built. Hope Momma V digs it and enjoys riding it.

Thank you @Shrunken_Head_Pedaler !!!

The subtle light from the EL wire is unique. Not sure why I've never tried it on a bike before. And the bike lights on the front light up the road a bit. The trike is perfect for those night rides in downtown Las Vegas.

It has a bell on the left handle bar, I should add some reflective tape as well in some key spots and a couple LED head lights and tail lights and it is ready to go.

Thanks a lot Lee!

I think those boss 302s and Boss 429 SCJs started that term. I remember hearing that as a kid a lot from my older brothers.

She ❤️ loves ❤️ it and will be riding with us now, as long as it's not too early. The last bike I built for her, she rode once and decided with her balance it wouldn't cut it.

This 'knarly' trike solves that problem in spades. It will be good to have her along.

fantastic!
Thank You Ian!

CONGRATS! Coolest trike around! It was fun to watch this one come together. She'll love it!
