Hi experts. I'm not sure if this is an el Camino but if someone can confirm, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, what would something like this be worth?
I would say it is a Huffy built Monark El Camino but missing tank and rack.
I had never heard of this model before but found a thread right here on RRB to shed some light on the subject, which you may have already seen.
Value will depend on your location, but I would guestimate $75-$140 ish. It looks like a clean bike and should be a decent rider. http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/1962-monark-el-camino.19678/
I think it's just a regular Huffy built Monark bike, the tanks on the El Caminos had a plastic headlamp assembly that went around the head tube, and the rear rack had a support bracket built into the top of the rear fender. The head badge would be in the way of the headlamp housing. Still, it looks original with little wear on it except for the faded paint, which doesn't look too bad for a 60's bike. Just the seat and tires look new.
I'll agree with late for dinner that the price should be $75-$140, with 140 only because you can't get that quality for anywhere near that new.
