I was checking my email late this morning, and one was a delivery confirmation from FedEx from 8:48am. It was this mid 50s Monark Silver King "Americana". Cool chainguard with jewel, 2 speed cable shift Bendix hub, Uniroyal Chain 175 whitewalls, Acorn nuts on the front wheel, lots of good stuff! I have a men's version of the frame that I think was a JC Higgins, I think I may transfer everything over. Note the same as a JCH rear reflector! Monark made a few bikes for Sears around that time. Not many though. Also, I can't look at the chainguard without thinking of the Rage Against The Machine song "No Shelter"..."Forthright culture-Americana" ~Adam
