Monark springer

I bought a girls Monark springer for my SK hex tube. Are the two springs larger on a boys bike than on a girls bike? I've found in the past that there are a lot of differences between a girls and a boys bike. This is an original springer, not the reproductions.

The springs are the same for both on mine. The girls fork has spacers at the bottom to make up the difference in height.
