Monark Super Deluxe

My dad is definitely looking out for me. Picked this one up at an auction last weekend that he told me about. Original and complete with a nice patina. Great paint should shine up nicely. Even has the Monark pedals. Came with the remains of a nice speedometer that I plan to clean up and keep with it. Also has some really cool chrome tank bumpers that I've never seen before. She's now on the ever-expanding list of projects.

That's a good one - has ALL the hard to find and expensive parts. Those crash rails (bumpers) are impossible to find once they are gone - have to buy a whole tank to get some. I have 2 boys Monarks the exact same color. For some reason all of the Monarks that started out red and burgundy 2 tone end up looking like a couple shades of brown. If you do any cleaning stay away from all the detailing on the chain guard - they come off very easy. The pin stripes on the fenders are bullet proof just like the paint. You are very lucky to get one with the fender ornament. I have two girls Super Deluxe and there isn't even a trace of where there used to be one. Enjoy the crap out of that - it's definitely a keeper.
