you set what ever values you want in the key board, delayed shift, quick shift,or manual, there is a computor mon, mounted by the bottom bracket that reeds info from a sensor and adjusts accordingly, reads amerian or eruopean language, the hub is not set up like my 4 speed dyno which has 1 to 1 ratio and higher, this hub has differant ratios than my moto glyde, parts were originally from an employee of island cycle supply, they were the local disrtigutoe, bike was modified by Dwight who owns Nakomus cycle, when i tpld him i had bought this bike at a car swap meet he showed me pics of a few years ago when he built it for the guy i got it from,i have the original seat i just like this one,AJ

really cool.
Saw a belt-drive Shimano drivetrain a few weeks ago, with infinitely-variable gearing...no clicks, just smooth transition.
Wanted to test ride but shop required, get this: closed toe shoes!
What the?? this is SoCal!
Think I've only installed "shoes" once in 2013 :)

Shimano? Sure it wasn't a NuVinci n360?

You're right!

Silverking would work: unbolt the rear to install the belt.
Think I remember seeing a Schwinn belt-drive coaster cruiser, ~1995 maybe? May have been just a teaser in adverts, do not remember seeing it at interbike.

5speed, I know they're heavy. The n360 is the newest model; lighter and smaller than the older versions, with more range. Heavy doesn't bother me much, and what I gain with that boat anchor hub will be offset by a lack of front and rear derailers, 1 cog vs a cassette, i sprocket vs 3, and I go rigid versus supsension, which saves a lot of weight. It'll still be heavy, but if I hate it, I could easily swap to a singlespeed.

BlackMonark, I wanna go with the NuVinci hub on a modernish frame, but I want no parts of belt drive. Those things cause more problems then they solve, as far as bicycles go.
