Well, I decided I needed the Tange cruiser fork from the 'beaver' klunker for another project so I had to think of something to take it's place. As soon as the weather improves (July? August?) I'll be able to go for a test ride- hopefully they'll have a little flex and won't just snap in two.....
A postwar fork I had laying around from other projects. The Tange was .833 so I replaced the dime store mtb stem with a prewar ( I see it could use a shorter clamp bolt ). A truss bracket from ebay. A couple 3/8" oak dowels from Home Depot, a little stainless tubing and 2 ga wire connectors from Ace.
