Mountain Bike Warning Sticker?!

I was at a bike store awhile ago and saw a mountain bike with a warning sticker that said "Not intended for off road use". WHAT!! Soooo, a mountain bike that's only good for the street is NOT a mountain bike. I'm still trying to figure out why it still had knobby tires on it too.

The ones on "Trick" BMX bikes too, you know the ones with stunt pegs, gyro de-tangler and all that stuff...
