MPLS RATT Checking In

Hey everyone,

I am Mikko from MPLS. A few years ago, after a few years of collecting and building vintage BMX bikes, I buillt up a 56 Spitfire w/ BMX parts and a Sturmey Archer drum brake. Bad ...!

I have been wanting to build a matching trike for my Spitfire for a few years now and found a 24" Schwinn Town and Country. It needs some TLC, but it will be a fun one to work on. I love digging for old parts.

Nice to find a site dedicated to rat bikes!

I am digging this site, very cool and laid back.

I have spent most of my time looking for some frames and other things in the Wanted section, but so far I am impressed with what I see. I love the history, stories, the search and getting an old bike back on the road where they belong.

MplsCoaster, what part of the city are you in? I am in Richfield.

Very cool!

Last night we had a small neigborhood summit and talked about our winter bike projects. Fun times, we were talking overall concepts and ideas.

I was hoping to make it to that ride this weekend, but my birthday festivities conflict with it. Priorities.

A fall ride would be cool- I run a old school BMX club here in the city called the Minnesota Faction, we typically host a couple rides a year, but my fall schedule is quickly filling up.

How about a ride on Sat Oct8th?
We can meet up with your group on the south beach of Lake Harriet ~1pm,
Then take off together and cruise the lakes
Maybe hang out at the Tin Cup on the top of Calhoun for a while

What do you think?

Any body else in the metro is more than welcome to ride along
The more the better
