im not 100% but im pretty sure schwinn had there own size for the bottom bracket(maybe one of the schwinnaphiles will be able to say for sure.......) im still amazed at how great that seat looks!

Yep, Schwinn had there own threadpitch. I've run into this before. It's easy to strip a crank with mixed components, I.E., I've done it! .
I try to store cranks with bearings, nuts, and races together now.

And I really like the fender.
