Murray Eliminator. Origonal??

I saw this on CL this morning and the seller claims its "all origonal" Something tells me he is wrong. That stem is not what came from the factory is it? Are there any other things not origonal. Plus his asking price is way out of line for this area. That bike wouldnt fetch 50.00 on a good day down here.

bottle holder- no
handlegrips- appear to be either from a schwinn or westernflyer
handlebars- appear to be an early wide pair of walds not original to the bike
rear slick- not original to bike. obviouse replacement(white letter Firestone really hard to find and very desirable)

serial number should read MO7260 if it's a 67 for sure. Wouldn't offer more than 120 - 140 only if the back tire is in excellent shape.

has to be the right size for the old glass bottles.

well obviously that bottle holder is no OG part..
and nither is the Alloy stem.. 'didnt have 4 bolt alloy till alill bit into the early 70s

probably found the thing in afew parts and threw it together to make a buck..

offer him $100 if your serous about getting that cool ride and go from there :wink:
