Very cool build in every way. I love it! I agree with the sentiment about flatheads. This was my mill that I had in my '29 A coupe. Three Stomberg 97s on a '53 Ford block, backed up by a close-ratio T-10 4-speed:

Thanks for the positive feedback. I love your flathead motor as well. I'd love to see a picture of your '29 A coupe.

Not that I need any more toys, but I built a half scale M274A military mule to haul my board track racer bicycle. It also works great for hauling kids around.

Good call. I will have to create a heat shield of some sort. I haven't fabricated the header yet, but that's in the near future. the front end is next. I'll update new pictures as I complete things.

just make the header go down after it leaves the engine.

Yeah, that mule is awesome. Like you said, I don't need any more toys, but that mule would be so cool. You did a fantastic job on it, all the way down to the official looking "data plates". It even has a 4-bar link front suspension! :shock:

Here is another view of my old A, as you requested. I sold it to a friend who is carrying on the flathead tradition and having a blast with it.

Thanks guys. That mule was real fun to engineer and build. It took me about eight months to fabricate. I used 12" motorcycle shocks for the suspension. The engine is a 6.5HP 200cc, electric start, four stroke. Yes, it does have a custom four bar front suspension just like a hot rod. I incorporated a forward reverse transmission I bought on ebay. I also used a rear differential I bought from Northern Tool and Equiptment. The data plates are the real deal from the full scale military version.

Looking really nice Dowie, i love the clean look of your bike..... but i was wondering, and dont take this the wrong way, but your bike has such a high quality look to it, well planned, well engineered, perfectly executed and yet you are still running the peanut tank. I know earlier in the thread you mentioned making a tank, do you still plan to?...... I think it would lift your bike to that elite level...... but thats just my $0.02. Your bike is still awesome as is :D :D :D

Dont get me wrong, his was actually one of the first bikes i saw on this site and it blew me away. I love it. But how ...... would this bike be with an inframe tank? ........ Total ........... thats what!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Hey Dowie, really awesome build, and insane CAD drawings :D I have some questions in regards to your jackshaft, i found the 5/8 jackshaft kit online, and im thinking i will order it for my Villiers build and just swap one sprocket for a pulley so i can have belt primary drive. Anyways, the shaft kits states it is for use with a #35 pitch chain, and i need to buy a sprocket for my rear wheel, so what sprocket did you buy to bolt on? Could you give me some details on how you did all that side of things? Thanks alot :)
 
I did use a #35 chain from the engine clutch to the jack shaft input. For the jack shaft output to the rear wheel I used a standard bicycle sprocket for a 410 or Z510 chain. The 9T, 10T, 11T, or 17T sprocket with a 5/8" keyed bore can be purchased though http://www.sickbikeparts.com .

For the rear wheel, sprockets both sides, I went to http://www.spookytoothcycles.com .

Also. Make sure you use good high speed bearings for your jack shaft that can handle high rpm.
