Cool. Have you checked the fork to find out what the biggest tire you could fit? I'm doing a build on a 1979 Schwinn and the fork is dang near identical.

These are 26 x 2.125 tires on my 1980 Typhoon. It's a middleweight, originally come with 26 x 1 3/4 S7's. The fenders won't fit without rubbing though.

You're bike looks good, I thought about running the balloners but I wanted something different that I haven't had plus Ive since fell in love with the s7's. I'm just gonna save my pennies and get a set of nos or maple island westwind tires.

I fit 26x2.35 Fat Franks on my '63 Typhoon... With fenders... It can be done :)

Not really sure what tires those franks are but if it's those overly wide tires, I hate them! Lol. I'm going to try n post more pics when I can. The last ones came out super small, I think I screwed with something on me camera.

They aren't overly wide, IMO. They do fill up the fenders though. What I really love about them is the incredible amount of grip they have, and not jarring my bones when I hop off a curb. And they look great :)
