My brothers first rat for christmas

Well after him hinting about wanting a custom bike I decided to build him one with the help from 65rat we started out with a Schwinn twin straight bar that had a rust hole through the top tube and a few other places we needed to braze. Since his favorite color is green and his high school colors are green, black and white I decided to 2 tone it with satin hunter green and gloss emerald green still have to do some white pinstriping to break them apart, Tim also threw in a green and white schwinn s seat and the wheels which I painted satin black. I'm trying to decide which sprocket to run in the front out of the 3

Im building bikes for my Mom and Dad for Christmas, got them all painted, probably gonna lay down the clear tonight. Hope I can finish them in time!! If I ever find the time I will post them up.

thats pretty cool. Ive never seen that schwinn sprocket I say use it, its cool looking.

I think that Schwinn sprocket might look pretty good if the red is faded enough. Or cover the red with red primer. Cool bike nice work.

Thanks yeah the schwinn sprocket was a pale pink when I pulled it off a old bmxer a while back I took some brasso and steel wool and got the red back better I'm going to have him see which sprocket he likes better and make him think its for one of mine

well he picked the last one but I couldnt just put it on there it needed a little paint work

The bike is pretty much done other than my parents got him some dice valve caps and a bell and still have to take it for a spin to make sure it rides good also plan on taking him over to the lbs to pick out anything he wants to change after christmas
Think I'm going to take the seat off and wrap it up just to play with him a little bit

The more I look at it the more I like it. The apes, straight fork, black rims, original seat all good choices. Prime example of a rat-rod IMHO.
