I figured I'd simplify my "SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ" entry and just put the pics and build info here.
I'm pretty proud of this bike, it looks much better in person (which I'm sure everyone's does) and it rides and handles great for being a junky old bike. I built it bike using the frame I was looking for info on at this post: http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35021&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a While I have been wanting a klunker/bomber for a while, I rushed this one so I could race in Atomic Cycles' Coaster Brake Challenge #5 series.
The specs are as follow:
Frame: Unknown cantilever cruiser w/1"JIS headtube
Rim: IRD TSUNAMI MTN
Hubs: F- ACS high flange, R- Shimano MX Coaster w/16t cog
BB: Redline American BMX sealed cartridge
Cranks: SNAFU BMX 175mm
Chainring: Frisco BMX 34t
Pedals: Odyssey BMX platform
Seatpost: KALLOY 1" 0 setback
Saddle: San Marco Rolls (great saddle from day one)
Bars: Kawasaki MX, 80's vintage
Stem: Used BMX stem from the 80's
Grips: Oury Mtn
Headset: used Campy, 80's vintage
Tires: Kenda Small Block 8
