I originally built this as my wife's bike, but I have since found a women's Murray Monteray that i'm going to build for her. this bike has had a couple different versions but this (i think) is going to be the last. haha!

here's the first stage...

and the second stage (when it was my wife's)

and now for the new changes....

i unlaced a badly warped 26" wheel that was in the scrap pile and put the spokes to good use.

Then...

I know i'm gonna hear some Paul Jr. jokes because it's pretty much all i heard from people at work and people that see the bike. but it's cool, my bike's better. haha!

if you look closly at the picture when it was welded on before that, it was never there.

there's a spot missing there and there's a different spot missing on the other side (you can see it in the first pic of it welded to the bike). i like the look of the old pinstripe webbing that's faded and "broken" so i used that as inspiration.

I was thinking of doing the rear fender braces too! but i'm gonna probably do that on the wifes bike because i'm going to stretch the fender to the ground! and i want to do a fender skirt only a huge web. I might use the same diameter round stock you used... something a little more structural then the spokes i used. haha!
