Used to be a favorite during deer season. It was there a long time. My father
and uncles would hang there during deer season. The car salesman, Pat, who I bought my second new car from was a paratrooper during the Korean War. He talked a friend it flying him over the Tumble Inn and he parachuted in for a beer, before my drinking age so I missed it. Pat had a big rep locally for the crazy stuff he did. I was told this but it sounds like BS to me.

Very cool.
Where in the U.P. is that? Is it still in business?
It’s a poor picture. It’s a visual pun, the Tumble Inn has tumbled down. About ten years ago it fell in from heavy snow. It’s torn down and just a field at Strong’s Corner. Strong’s Corner is in Chippewa County Michigan between Newberry and Sault Ste. Marie. Middle of nowhere, or middle of somewhere if you live in Strongs.
