I thought I would share my first build with you. My car that I dumped all of my money into was stolen back in Dec of 2002 and my only mode of transportation was this Huffy mountain bike. One night the whole pedal arm broke off of the bike and left me stranded far from home in the rain. I was ready to trash the bike, but as I walked home I thought of what I could do to this now junk bike. So I welded the pedal back on and started chopping it up.
Notice the seat post has also been moved back.
The pictures do not show the 1"x2" rectangle tube for the back bone. I road the bike like this for a while with the gears and and straight bars. It felt like it went really fast like that. All was well until I hit a speed bump and bent the sprocket. While buying a new sprocket, I also bought new rims with a coaster brake and my first set of ape hangers.
Now, there is a lot of work not pictured between the last pictures and these. I did not think I was doing anything important so I did not take any pictures. The pictures I do have are image captures from video I took at the time so it may be blurry.
And now even more work is done.

Seat wrapped in headliner foam. Ready to be wrapped in white vinyl.
