My First Raleigh Superbe

Not very exciting, but heres todays find, a 1975 Raleigh Superbe. Typical drab green but everything is there. Just a stepping stone bike to finance other cooler bikes or just a parts bike :wink: .

You never know Raliegh has a following. Its in good shape and has all the bells and whistles. You ought to spend a little time and really clean it up. It might surprise you what it will bring...nice find

Ya, it's gonna clean up nice too. And I actually get alot of enjoyment from detailing bikes, it's very rewarding in the end.

That's a great bike. I don't think I ever saw a rack like that. neat. Unc is correct. They sell everyday on Craigslist up here for between $125 and $225. I sold my 71 for $125 just a month ago. Clean it up it'll make you some money.

Well I can tell you how much it would sell for since I live not that far from you, I've wanted one to replace my old one that was crushed against a pole and have been wating them as posted. They go for abit more then a Raleigh Sports, though you could spend weeks or months trying to sell it. I'd say about 300$ depending on where ya live. that one on ebay however is abit older but has a gigantic ugly seat on it lol and I don't think anyone would pay that. I've sold Raleigh sports with all that stuff on them for 150$=200$ all cleaned and stuff.

Lol I'd love to buy it but It's winter right now and I can'r bribe someone to drive me to pick up, I do belive I have family out there though i'll have to see, Also how much ya wanting for it? or do you need some special things perhaps? lol i've got stuff! Pm me info and so on if ya want. if the weather becomes distance drivable soon I may be able to swingle a ride.
