I joined this forum a couple of days ago. I had a Haro MTB, Trek road bike, and Trek Calypso for my wife.

Looking at craigslist for a couple of days I know have

Schwin this has been repainted, but overall in descent shape wheels appear to be in the worst of conditon

Western Flyer

something that starts with a G cant remember what it is now I will look again when i head back to the garage

a Vista and Peugeot womens bikes

and what started my quest for some sort of cruiser or bike to turn into a Rat, My wifes Trek Calypso

I have no Idea what I am going to do with them, I haven't had much time to really look them over yet. I plan on keeping the Schwin and Western Flyer for myself, and think I may either cut up the girls bikes for parts, or save one of the frames for a future project.

I will update this thread with more details as I figure it all out.

WOW.... Got hit hard and fast. You definately have a problem which is only cured by selling a few of those so you have more money to buy more bikes.

I too share your fast spreading disease. Just in the 2 months I've been around this site, I went from one lonely mountain bike, to more than I can count. A bigger garage would be great, but for now, I've simply sweet talked my neighbor out of some garage space.

You will however, have many cool bikes....A VERY GOOD THING!

I started with one, have had as many as 50 bikes. I am now down to a somewhat manageable 25. The trick is to "rotate", except for the real keepers.

i've had over 100 bikes total, at one time like 30 and now about 20. its an addiction, a passion and a blessing all at once. just last week got like 5 mtn bikes in one week, most of them parts with a few flippers. nice finds and welcome aboard. :mrgreen:
